The Author

David Robb is a hemorrhagic stroke survivor, writer, and long-term rehabilitation advocate. A former business analyst with a 37-year career in life insurance, Dave writes about recovery, resilience, and adaptation from a patient’s perspective.

As a former long distance runner and cyclist, Dave was well prepared for the discipline required to maintain a rigorous rehabilitation program after his stroke. His therapists, however, frequently reminded him that he was often overzealous as patience is not one of his better virtues.

Dave shares his story to inspire others facing physical or emotional challenges, offering honesty, encouragement, and a message of perseverance. Driven is his first book about stroke.

Dave lives in Ontario, on the shore of the St. Lawrence River, with his wife, Valerie and their two Lagottos, Islay and Finn.
